is commissioned to support 

the victims of violence, prejudice and discrimination,

advocates human rights and educates all people who need it,

and promotes the harmony in the world with justice and peace.

HuRAC

provides leadership for the promotion, protection and advancement of human rights, and builds partnerships across the human rights system.

The Commission's Mandate

Investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment;

mediation to settle complaints between parties;

help filig the complaint for resolution;

preventing discrimination through public education and public policy;

and looking into situations where discriminatory behaviour exists.
